Bring soft winter calm to a wall with this frosted reed print, five slender seedheads bowed together under a weight of ice.
Reed and wild grass seedheads hold their feathered plumes right through the winter, and when frost builds on them they bend the same way under the weight, so a stand of them leans as one rather than scattering. The heads are massed in the upper third of the frame, all leaning right, their stems crossing where they emerge from the snow; below is a bank of soft out-of-focus grass and unbroken white, and the top corner is left as pale empty air. The pull is that everything in the picture leans one way, so the eye follows the line instead of settling anywhere. Well suited to bedrooms, living rooms, hallways and bathrooms, and to Scandinavian, boho, Japandi or coastal interiors.
Printed on premium 200 gsm semi-gloss paper, which keeps the very close whites apart — this is the palest picture in the range, and the difference between frost on a plume and the snow behind it is only a few tones.
