Ridge behind ridge behind ridge, each one a single flat colour, stepping paler as it recedes until the furthest is barely separable from the sky. Deep pine and slate teal in the foreground, cool stone and pale blue through the middle distance, warm cream at the horizon.
There is no detail anywhere in it — no trees, no rock, no weather. Every ridge is one solid shape with a hard clean edge, in the manner of a screen print where each colour is a separate pass. What creates the depth is nothing but tone: the eye reads distance from paleness alone, and does it instantly.
That flatness is also why it prints so well large. With no fine detail to soften, the A1 holds exactly the same crisp edge as the smallest size. It is a calm piece rather than a dramatic one, and it suits a bedroom, a landing or a wall that needs depth without noise.
