A red deer stag standing above a Highland glen, drawn in flat blocks of teal, gold and rust — a graphic take on Scotland's best-known animal.
The stag is the warm centre of the picture, a deep russet shape with a wide sweep of antlers, standing on a dark foreground slope. Behind him the land is built from broad flat bands — gold and ochre in the middle distance, a rust ridge to one side, and layered blue-green hills rising into a deep teal sky that takes up the whole upper half. There is no shading and no texture anywhere in it; the whole image is colour against colour, which is what gives it such presence at a distance. Well suited to living rooms, bedrooms, hallways and dining rooms, and to mid-century, boho or richly coloured interiors.
Printed on premium 200 gsm semi-gloss paper, which keeps the flat colour fields even and the boundaries between them crisp at every size.
